Damian Long
Although he is new to the MFS community, Damian Long is no stranger to the college counseling world. He was a college counselor at St. Augustine Preparatory School, the Associate Director of College Counseling at The Hun School of Princeton for three years, and most recently, he was the Associate Director of College Counseling at the Shipley School for two years. Long was a student advisor at all of these schools and held other positions such as psychology teacher at St. Augustine and Chair of the Culture Competency Committee at The Hun School. He is passionate about college counseling and believes in focusing on every student uniquely and individually when it comes to their college process, and he appreciates that this approach is used in every aspect of Quaker and independent school education. Long also loves basketball, maybe as much as college counseling, as he played during his time as an undergraduate student at Villanova University and has coached both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Fishing has been a favorite pastime of his since the pandemic, and he enjoys spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews in the area.

She then returned to teaching at Germantown Academy last year before returning to a Quaker school at MFS. She is quite the traveler, as she has visited a whopping 85 countries, and she is thankful that she has the time to travel during summer and school breaks. Aside from traveling, she loves volleyball. She coaches a local college team and plays beach volleyball regularly during the summer. She notes that the energy she has seen from the MFS students so far has been “awesome,” and she is excited to work with them throughout the year.
